A huge military wedding took place at St Thomas’s Church on the day after Armistice Day, November 12th 1918. Miss Grace Morley, a VAD nurse, of Holden House, Southborough married Eric Clarke, a Major in the Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment).
The transcribed text on the back of the card says:
Marley’s wedding Nov 11th 1918 to Major Clark at St Thomas Southborough.
