The transcribed text reads:

‘Dear Will. I find that owing to the bad train service here we will not arrive home on Saturday till about 4.30pm. This will not leave us enough time to join you at 5o’clock. Could you leave word at 59 Richolt where you are going and Miss Francis and I will join you later. Thanks very much and with kindest regard to all Arthur’
